The Spiritual Path and Astrology |

Do you know that one's retrogrades and nodes are most important, especially when one is on the spiritual path?
In 1992 when I began working with the energy I channel Maitreya, I had been a practicing medium/channel for 7 years. I had done an enormous amount of study on spiritual subjects and felt I knew it all. I went to a reader just before I connected with Maitreya and he told me “You will be a very spiritual woman once you have finished your development.” I thought to myself, “but I have finished my development.” How naïve I was.
As soon as I started connecting with Maitreya he began teaching me about his world and also how important it was to know about your life path and your life plan for this incarnation. At school I had been very slow to learn, anything which required a left brain was out for me. I did not seem to have a left brain, but I was very creative and a very good writer, all right brain stuff.
When Maitreya mentioned astrology to me, I was so frightened to begin with. Wasn't that to do with charts and wheels and long words I did not understand? However, with the purchase of my first computer, and an astrology programme, I started to learn about this means of communication.
I must admit when I first saw a natal chart, the wheel as it is called, I nearly keeled over. How on Earth would I fathom out what it was all about? I should not have been concerned. From day one, Maitreya taught me in such a simple way to understand astrology, it became one of the main subjects on courses I ran for many years.
Maitreya taught me that retrogrades and nodes are the most important things to know when one is on the spiritual path.
It never ceased to amaze me how many healers/teachers/therapists/readers on the spiritual path did not know about themselves and had never tried to find out. When I asked many of them, do you know if you have retrogrades, do you know where your nodes are? They could not answer me. Maitreya taught me that retrogrades and nodes are the most important things to know when one is on the spiritual path. The Retrogrades represent what you are on the Earth plane to do again, what you did not complete in a past incarnation. The Nodes also help to find out where your energy has been in past lives, but also to find out where you are going also in the future.
As I began to learn astrology, I began to delve into a deeper part of myself.
I discovered the purpose of the planets in our life. How Saturn was a teacher and until Saturn felt you had learned your lessons, would not give you the freedom to go where you had to go and be who you were supposed to be. I discovered that where Pluto was in your natal chart was where you made the most profound transformation; often freeing yourself from incarnations of the same patterning and moving on into the new energy. I began to see why the reader had told me I would be a very spiritual woman once I had finished my spiritual development, I could not raise my vibration and rid myself of old energy without the energy of astrology.
The more I studied the subject, and Maitreya was very patient with me, the more I realized what an important tool it was if one was moving forward in vibration and spiritually. Once I had dealt with my own chart, and that took a long time because I did not realize I was such a complex person astrologically, then I began work on my children's charts and past partners. There was no doubt about it, astrology was so truthful when it came to their energy.
What shocked me more than ever was the movement of the planets on a daily basis which are known as transits, compared to my natal life chart . On days I was depressed and sad, the planets would be in an aspect which would promote this. It certainly helped to know I had chosen this to assist me on my journey. My transits became a tool to enable me to get through some very tough times.
I became aware astrology was so important in assisting us on our spiritual journey if we are on one. I learned to read a chart on an esoteric, spiritual level rather than just a scientific logical level, getting into the soul enabled me to connect with past lives and free the energy connected to them. To also time my healing/past life sessions, with when the planets were in a good position to assist me.
As the years rolled by, although I used astrology for myself, and taught it to my students, I never trusted myself to use it because of my left brain absence. I longed to become an astrologer, but always the lack of left brain function held me back. One day, one of my clients had some very deep issues to deal with and I knew astrology could help them so offered to do their chart. The response after the reading of the chart was so uplifting I realized I did not need to have a left brain, intuition was what was important and I had heaps of that. So I added Astrologer to my long list of achievements.
I watch my clients when it comes up they would be good astrologers, their faces mirror the same as mine did all those years ago. Thankfully the way I teach, (the way Maitreya taught me) is so easy, students cannot wait to buy the books and programs and begin their own journey.
I often wonder what would have happened had I not chosen to learn it. I also feel I have completed the vision of being “a very spiritual woman” with the study of astrology. I am still learning, with astrology it never stops, but I have certainly helped myself become a far more educated person with the study of this wonderful metaphysical subject.
